Psalms 150:6 says, “Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” Praise God. The Lord has preserved us from the beginning of the year and has brought us into a new month – what a reason to be thankful. It is by His mercies that we are not consumed by the works of darkness and not even by the pandemic because His compassions fail not (see Lamentations 3:22).
It is not by your power, by your wealth, wisdom, intelligence, or even your connection that has preserved you from what has taken so many lives. It’s the mercy of God. Psalms 124:6-8 says, “Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
Garment of Praise
According to Psalms 150:6, God has preserved our lives so we can continue to praise Him and live for Him. In this new month of March, be thankful to the Lord. Let nothing steal your joy and deny you of your hope in God. Put on your garment of praise with your dancing shoes. Begin to praise the Lord because He and only He deserves your praise. God is glorified when we offer Him our praise, and all things work together for good to those that love God, see Psalms 50:23, Romans 8:28.
No matter your circumstances, give thanks to the Lord and trust Him. He will surely see you through victoriously when you acknowledge Him. He wants us to trust Him, praise Him at all times, and acknowledge Him in all our ways. See Proverbs 3:5-6 and Psalms 34:1-3 that says, “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
No circumstances, either pleasant or unpleasant, should determine your joy. Our joy comes not from our circumstances but from the salvation of the Lord. Isaiah 61:10, says, “I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.”
