The New and Holy Jerusalem is the great city descending out of heaven from God and is the bride of the Lamb, our Lord Jesus Christ (Revelation 21:9-10). For there He desire us to dwell with Him forever. The dwelling in the holy Jerusalem is by invitation extended to all by the Lamb of God. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16)

The journey to the New and Holy Jerusalem has to be worked out with fear of Him daily. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). Jesus said, those who endure to the end, the same shall be saved (Matthew 24:13) because there are so many forces that have determined to stop you from completing the race to the holy Jerusalem (see Ephesians 6:12). However, Jesus said we should not let our heart be troubled and He never wants us to doubt His coming back to take us with Him to the holy city of Jerusalem where He had prepared for us even before we were born, (see John 14:1-3, Romans 8:29-30)

The Apostle John gave a clear description of how The New and Holy Jerusalem looks. It is made of pure gold, a city with no need of power companies or the sun to give it light neither does it need the moon to shine on it, the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb of God is the lamp over the holy city. Also, there is no need to buy or carry any building materials to build a temple to worship God because Lord God Almighty Himself and the Lamb of God are the temples in the holy Jerusalem (see Revelation 21:21-23). So that we may reach The New and Holy Jerusalem, the Apostle Paul encourages each of us that has chosen that race. He tells us to do away with everything that can hinder us and the sin that easily entangles, and patiently, with the understanding of where we are going, running the race that is set before us (see Hebrews 12:1).

Is this not an incredible and desirable thing? In The New and Holy Jerusalem, God will wipe away all tears from our eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor cries of pain, no cancer, pandemic, or all kinds of wicked diseases (see Revelation 21:4)

Apostle John already saw us in that city of Jerusalem, but it is now left up to us not to have our names removed from the book of life because of our daily lifestyles (see Revelation 7:4-10, Ezekiel 18:23-24). Therefore, each of us who has chosen the new Jerusalem as our destination must constantly refresh ourselves and preach about how that new and holy city of Jerusalem will be. This should be done to encourage the body to look to Jesus continually. He is the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was before him endured the cross, despised the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2)
